Mastering the

SELF TAPE

An On-Camera Intensive

ABOUT the CLASS

Self taping is the future.  With more and more actors coming to Hollywood each year, casting directors are able to see multitudes of actors audition if they request self tapes, rather than schedule appointments with these actors.  In addition, with projects now shooting all over the country, local casting directors want to see self
tapes from actors.  So, how do you make a great self tape?  How do you make choices that serve not only the project, but also your own unique POV?  How do you make a great impression on casting without meeting them in person?

In MASTERING THE SELF TAPE, you will learn how to create a great self tape audition.  Co-taught by acting teacher and coach Tess Kirsch and talent manager JC Robbins, you will receive two scenes, a comedy and a drama, in advance.  You will self tape as if you were auditioning for the role, and send it to Tess and JC who will review it before the class begins.  At the class, the actors will watch the tapes and receive specific feedback, notes, and redirection from Tess and JC.  Then you'll retape with Tess and receive a digital copy of your retake via hightail express.  At the end of the class, JC will speak about the business side of the industry and answer your questions, as well as questions often asked by actors.

This Intensive will be held monthly, on one Saturday, from noon - 5 pm. Self tapes are due on Friday at noon, the day before class.
